June 14th

Since I’m losing so much time on the Tro Tro due to traffic, I’ve decided I’m just going to work long hours (avoiding both the morning and rushhour traffic) and learn as much as possible at the firm. This Morning was a long day at court, but luckily my day was broken up with lunch with my boss and some colleagues. They love poking fun at me about eating African dishes, but luckily they had my favorite (Red Red) so I didn’t have to pretend that I liked it more than I really did. Lunch in Ghana is pretty funny actually. Once the food arrives you can hear a pin drop. “My good friend, there are no friends during Chop” says my boss to me just before he dug into his fufu and goat stew with his bare hand. That was fine with me because I was pretty hungry and no one would have to judge the Obruni for eating his lunch with a spoon (although red red pretty much requires one anyway). This afternoon I have two related assignments and I hope to be done by 19:00 GMT. With that in mind I better end my break. Hope to post about my weekend/pictures tomorrow.
